Submit to Chanter!

We accept submissions of prose, poetry, and art from current students of Macalester College to be considered for publication in our magazine at the end of each semester.

Up to 5 submissions (per person, per semester) may be submitted through the above form before the announced due date to be considered for a particular edition.

Written submissions may be no longer than 4.5 pages with 1.15 spacing or 1750 words, and are preferred in a text format (e.g. a Word document).

Art submissions may be in any standard image format, accompanied by both a title and a medium.

If you are submitting a physical artwork, please do your best to take a high-quality photograph with no glare or shadows. If necessary, we may ask you to re-photograph your submission before publication. 

We welcome you to revise and re-submit work of yours that did not get accepted in a previous semester! However, we are not able to consider re-submissions of any work that has previously been accepted for publication in Chanter.
