Submit to Chanter!

We accept submissions of prose, poetry, and art from current students of Macalester College to be considered to be featured in our magazine each semester.

Up to 5 submissions (per person, per semester) can be sent to chanter@macalester.edu before the announced due date to be considered for a particular edition.

Written submissions may be no more than 4.5 pages with 1.15 spacing or 2000 words and are preferred in a text format (e.g. a Word document).

Art submissions may be in any standard image format and both a title and a medium should be indicated in the message of the email itself.

Art submissions occasionally need to be re-photographed before publication if the image quality is too poor, so do your best to submit a high-quality image with no shadows or glares.

If you have work that was submitted for a previous semester and was not accepted, we welcome you to revise and re-submit! However, any works that were previously published by Chanter Magazine we are not able to consider.
